BHUTAN TRAVEL


BHUTAN is a buddhist kingdom on the himalayas eastern edge is known for its monasteries ,fortresses(or dzongs) and dramatic landscapes  that range from subtropical plains to steep
mountains and valleys.in the high-himalayas ,peaks usch as 7,326m jomolhari are popular trekking destinations.paro taktsang monastery also knows as tigers nest cling to cliff above the paro valley.



Visitors from India, Bangladesh and Maldives travelling to Bhutan doesnt need a visa. 

Indian, Bangladeshis and Maldivian nationals can obtain a permit at the port of entry on producing a valid passport with a minimum of 6 months validity (Indian nationals may also use their Voters Identity Card (VIC)).  

All other tourists must obtain a visa clearance prior the travel to Bhutan.  Visas are processed through an online system by your licensed Bhutanese tour operator directly or through a foreign travel agent.

Indians coming to bhutan  by road are required to obtain an "ENTRY permit" on the basis of valid travel document from the immigration office of royal government of BHUTAN at phuentsholing,located on the Indo-Bhutan border opposite jaigaon,West Bengal.

and Indians coming by air can get the entry permit at the Paro International Airport.

IMPORTANT:- The 'entry permit' allows an indian tourist to visit Thimphu and paro only.those tourist who wanna go beyond thimphu and paro need to acquire a special area permit from the RGoB immigration office at Thimphu on any working days.(Monday TO Friday)

AND The tourist from other countries required visa clearance prior the travel to bhutan. Visas are processed through an online system by your licensed bhutanese tour operator directly or through a foreign travel agent.

you are required to send the photo-page of your passport to your tour operator who will then apply for your visa.  The visa will be processed by the Tourism Council of Bhutan (TCB) once the full payment of your holiday (including a USD $40 visa fee) has been wire transferred and received in the TCB bank account.  Once received, the visa clearance will be processed within 72 working hours.
